Welcome to the 'live' database of public involvement activity within Kent Adult Social Services. .
Public involvement and consultation lies at the heart of our approach to service improvement. It is the process
by which local people have a voice in the way we plan, provide and review our services. Particularly, by listening
to people who use our services and their carers, we can learn how far our services meet their needs and wishes.
From their experience and suggestions we can learn where and how we need to change what we do. This is very much
about changing the culture within the organisation to ensure that we embrace service users and carers and involve
them in all aspects of our work to bring about real change in both the services we provide and how to provide
them.
This database will capture, against every entry, the outcome that has been achieved as a result of this involvement.
Importantly, it will evidence how their feedback has influenced, changed or improved the planning and delivery
of services or even just simply improved the experience for the user or carer.
In addition, the information captured in the database will enable the directorate to make better use of resources,
share information, good practice and knowledge
Lets get started....
